fresh air, and you can definitely feel the emergence of a ‘new day’ here
at the club. Our membership continues to voice its support of all the
new enhancements, and with more than 60 new-member enrollments
since the ownership change, there is a great sense of excitement for
what the future holds here at LVCC.”
A hundred pages in this magazine wouldn’t be enough to cover the
club’s history, but a quick version is that Kratter built and dreamed it
while Las Vegas legends Irwin Molasky, Moe Dalitz, Allard Roen and
Merv Adelson brought it to prominence after purchasing it along with
a membership group in 1970. It was the first equity-owned private club
in Las Vegas and remained so until the Samick purchase.
Other historical anecdotes include a worthy roster of members over
the years including MGM mogul Kirk Kerkorian, hotel executives
Elaine and Steve Wynn (when they were married), newspaperman and
business executive Hank Greenspun and his wife, Barbara, along with New Las Vegas Country Club owners unveiled a Dean Martin
