lendoveer Golf & Tennis is much more than its name
implies. A stalwart in the community since its open-
Ging in 1926, the facility features two 18 hole courses,
full service teaching and practice facilities, as well as a com-
prehensive tennis venue with four indoor tennis courts and a
staff of tennis professionals.
The East Course is viewed by most as the more difficult
test, with tight, tree-lined fairways and smaller greens it
will require accurate approach shots. While the West Course
welcomes beginners and intermediate players alike and is
considered the more playable of the two courses with the
fairways being more visually pleasing, with less trees and
larger greens that provide a more playable field for golfers.
Glendoveer takes pride in being part of the East Portland
community for over 90 years. The goal is to create a safe,
fun environment not only for our golf and tennis enthusiasts,
but also for the children and families in the surrounding area.
Throughout the year, Glendoveer hosts a variety of free
events for the community, some include; Big Screen on the
Green, The Grinch’s Candy Cane Hunt and The Haunted
Forest. These events bring out thousands of families, creat-
ing great memories for all.
In addition, for the past five years, Glendoveer has served
as host venue for the Nike Cross Country Nationals running
event, which brings 400 of the top high school runners in
the country to complete a unique 5K running venue set-up
throughout the course. In many ways, Glendoveer Golf &
Tennis has fully embraced new and innovative ways to in-
troduce customers to its facility.
