Founder Tyler Jones is a fourth-generation Las Vegan and
feels an undeniable responsibility to create living masterpieces one
“experience” at a time.
“At the core of Vegas Modern™, we’re looking to create
architecture that is authentic to Las Vegas,” Jones says. “It’s all
about community and doing something that fits into our climate,
our culture, our lifestyle and our time and place. When we are
successful, people absolutely feel connected to the home and
our community will be better for it. A big component of Vegas
Modern™ is also sustainability. The architecture is created in
harmony with the Mojave Desert. We really want to take advantage
of the sunny days, but also protect the living spaces from the heat.
How indoor and outdoor living blend seamlessly together is very
important during our design process.”
Jones speaks thoughtfully about his work and his company. His
process is systematic, but places as much importance on feel during
the design process as he does precision workmanship during the
build. Each carry immense importance, he says, when creating a
connected living space.
“The most important concept about the architecture in
the homes we design is that it is an experience,” Jones says. “An
experience evolves when we let the parts and pieces of the process,
and the different decisions, be subservient to the idea of, ‘How do
you experience this home? How do you live in it? How do you
feel when you are in it? How do you move through it and inhabit
the home and enjoy the home with your family? How does the
home make you feel as a person?’ All the rest of the concepts
