What a Christian Believes

A mature christian life will be like that of the man in Psalm 1
v1-3 'Blessed is the man who does not walk in the
counsel (or ideas) of the wicked, or stand in the path of
sinners or sit in the seat of mockers. But His delight is in
the Law of God (not ritual laws but the Word of God) and
on His law he meditates day and night. He is like a tree
planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in
season and whose leaf does not whither. WHATEVER HE
                DOES PROSPERS.'

And so, once THE ELEMENTARY DOCTRINES ABOUT
CHRIST are firmly established, we are to move on, not
returning to them again and again. Hebrews 6 v3 'And God
                permitting we will do so.'

The Christian life is an adventure not just a duty and the
knowledge of God goes far beyond what is written here in this
book, this is only the beginning. What follows is without limit
requiring only faith with humility for The Lord to reveal himself
                to his children.

The Bible teaches that in the beginning God walked in the
Garden of Eden and talked with the man and the woman. It is
still God’s desire to fellowship with us today. It is an amazing
fact that the God who created the universe and holds it to-
gether, who works all manner of miracles and wonders still
has the same desire. It is our responsibility to lay hold of this
                great privilege.

Unlike most things in life, where a person must earn privi-
leges, in this case the Christian does not qualify on his own
                merit.

Because of Christ and his saving work -

EVERYTHING IS BY THE GRACE OF GOD.
