Eternal Judgement
Correction, in this life, is not ETERNAL JUDGEMENT,
because it allows a believer to be restored to the Lord on a
better basis than before he or she was disciplined.
ETERNAL JUDGEMENT has very different consequences.
Some of the religious people of Jesus time, the Pharisees,
were proud of themselves because they put all there trust in
observing laws and rituals, better than anyone else.
As Jesus preached the good news of God's love, His mercy,
His forgiveness and His salvation for sinners - the Pharisees
challenged Him. John 8 v15,16. 'You judge by human
standards, I pass judgment on no one. But if I do judge,
my decisions are right because I am not alone. I stand
with the Father.'
Because they would not accept Jesus and what He taught,
ETERNAL JUDGEMENT is passed, John 8 v21 'Once
more Jesus said to them "I am going away and you will
look for me, and you will die in your sin. Where I go you
cannot come".'
The point when ETERNAL JUDGEMENT comes into
being for a man or a woman, is if they die without first
dealing with their sins before God.
On the final Day when all things are judged by God, it will be
a solemn and awesome time. It will be much more than the
human experience of going to court for some misdemeanour,
because the judgements made will last forever.
There will be be three distinctive places of judgement, each
designed for a different purpose.
1. Those at the Judgement seat of Christ
2. Those at the throne of God's glory
3. Those at the great white throne.
