What a Christian Believes

1. ch2 v2 'Now we know that God's judgement....is
based on truth.'

2. ch2 v6. 'God will give to each person according to
what he has done.' and v16 '....God will judge men's
secrets, through Jesus Christ...'
3. ch2 v11 'For God does not show favouritism.'

4. ch1 v20 '...His eternal power and divine nature have
been clearly seen, being understood from what has
been made, so that men are without excuse.'

In other words the four principles of God's Word, by which
men will be judged are:

1. TRUTH;

2. DEEDS (both known and hidden);

3. WITHOUT RESPECT OF PERSONS;

4. THE KNOWLEDGE EACH MAN HAS, FROM WHAT HE
UNDERSTANDS OF GOD IN THE CREATION THAT IS
AROUND HIM.

These are the principles by which men are rebuked and
judged in this life but for the christians, who are sons, God
has another purpose. Hebrews 12 v5,6 'My son, do not
make light of the Lord's discipline, and do not lose heart
when He rebukes you, because the Lord disciplines
those He loves, and He punishes everyone He accepts as
a son.'
Every believer will know, at sometime in his or her life, the
judgement of God but when it happens it is to be understood
as the correction of a loving Father.
