What a Christian Believes

                1. The Judgement seat of Christ.

Those to be judged here are Christ's followers, true
christians. 1Peter 4 v17 'For it is time for judgement to
begin with the family of God; and if it begins with us what
will be the outcome for those who do not obey the gospel
                of God?'
It continues with an encouragement to all christians in v19
'So then, those who suffer according to God's will should
commit themselves to their faithful creator and continue
                to do good.'

THIS JUDGEMENT SEAT IS NOT FOR CONDEMNATION
but to receive what is due. 2Corinthians 5 v10 'For we
must all appear before the Judgement seat of Christ, that
each one may receive what is due to him for the things
done while in the body, whether good or bad.'

What the christian has done with his life for God will be
measured. 1Corinthians 3 v12,13 'If any man builds on
this foundation (Christ) using gold, silver, costly stones,
wood, hay or straw, his work will be shown for what it is,
because the (final) Day will bring it to light. It will be
revealed with fire and the fire will test the quality of each
                man's work.'

The way in which a christian has lived will be judged, with the
following consequences, v14,15 'If what he has built
survives, he will receive his reward. If it is burnt up, he
will suffer loss; he himself will be saved, but only as one
                escaping through the flames.'

So the JUDGEMENT SEAT OF CHRIST does not deal with a
christians’ righteousness, because that has already been
decided when they were BORN AGAIN; but with their
service to Christ while on earth.
