Teaching about FAITH comes later in the study.

Of all the miracles that God is able to do for men and women,
the greatest of all is the NEW BIRTH.
The reason that this is the greatest of all miracles is two fold:-

i) The New Birth is the only miracle whose effect lasts for
ever. All other miracles last only for a finite period. For
instance a healing from a major illness will only last, at the
most, for the lifetime of the person who has been healed.
When Jesus turned the water into wine, it lasted only for the
wedding feast.

ii) The New Birth was very expensive to God, in fact it
was so expensive that it is priceless, or beyond any
cost that can be imagined. For the person who is
given the NEW BIRTH, that is becomes Born Again, it
costs them nothing because it is a free gift from GOD.
But as with any free gift, someone somewhere has had
to pay.

For instance, using the illustration of a free gift being offered
by a company. A voucher will issued, with instructions as to
how the gift can be redeemed. Once the redemption process
has been carried out, the gift is given to the applicant.

In the same way, the NEW BIRTH, that gives eternal life
involves a redemption process.
