Repentance from sin

The time to repent is immediately, when there comes a
strong conviction of sin.

At that point God applies His gift of SALVATION.

How HE does it is through REGENERATION, otherwise
known as the NEW BIRTH.

 REGENERATION

This part deals with, conversion, the new birth, being born
again (or being born from above) - all terms used about the
HOW a person becomes one who can truly be called A
CHRISTIAN.

The use of the word CHRISTIAN has taken on many
meanings in modern times, such as a good person, someone
who goes to church meetings, a person whose parents had
them christened as a baby, someone who lives in a so called
christian country.

However CHRISTIAN literally means 'to put CHRIST on'.

If Repentance means turning or changing ones mind to
receive salvation and

Salvation means being rescued to receive eternal life as a
christian, then

Becoming a Christian is the key to leaving the past behind
and having a new life.
We have seen that it is GOD who applies salvation to a man
or woman, after they respond to Him with their repentance.
