Hip Designers Totally Retool Rare Lincoln Park Home

From its sumptuous entry, breezy terraces and
custom millwork, this tri-level “smart house”
captures Chicago living with a brilliant flair. And
it’s on the market for the first time.
What’s it take to pull off a custom reboot this
ambitious? First and last, the team. To make
the home swing into the future and maintain
a respect (reverence?) for classic lines and
traditional motifs, the very hands-on owners
lined up Chicago’s Cannon / Frank to draw up
their vision. All the architectural details and
many of the furnishings are based on this brew of ideas, from the doors and hardware casings
to the lighting fixtures. Luxe Interiors + Design magazine gave a deep bow to the firm with
its “Interior Design Firm of the Year” award in 2012, putting this oh-so-hip company in the
Design Hall of Fame.
