Truth. We can believe something to be true but it might
or might not be so. At best belief can be used to access the
question of truthfulness, but can never replace truth. It
is true when you can say you know it to be true. Belief
resides in the ego mind, truth in the spiritual mind. I
have noticed that when a statement that is made,
especially what turns out to be a true statement, and
offers an alternative to the belief of the believer, the
believer becomes defensive in order to support their
beliefs, whereas the truth sayer will always ponder the
alternatives offered, without taking offence, or feeling
threatened. Truth is also dynamic and personal, and
belief is fixed and accepted by many without adequate
questioning. Because it is dynamic truth always is now,
belief can extend from the past to the future. I think I'll
stick to the truth.
