Have you ever considered that God might be a 'what'
rather than a 'who'. Try asking the question 'what is
God', instead of 'who is God'. This will give the way for a
new understanding of God. What is God? God is a
spirit. This answer gives us a fresh range of questions
such as 'what is a spirit'? This line of questioning allows
us to deviate from the popular imagery of God, the
supreme in human form, typically depicted in Michael
Angelo's statue, and away from the idea of a spirit as a
ghostly form though still in a human shape, and then to a
notion of pure energy. What is pure energy? God, a
what!
