Spirit – Releasing the Light Within

Religion.

In order to discuss spirituality, we must first discuss

religion. First came spirituality. From the birth of humankind
an awareness of there being something greater than man
existed.
From the earliest Rock-art, we can see the primitive

man making inscriptions that can only represent forms
descending and human forms ascending. Where were they

descending from and where were they ascending to? Many
suggest that it was to and from the stars. Irish Mythology
suggests we “came from the Air and the High Air”. Perhaps if

we consider it as from ‘up there’ to ‘down here’, and be
satisfied with that, we won’t be distracted from the truth. We

know the physical body is the result if a biological process that
takes place here on earth, but what is going up and down that
our ancestors were illustrating? Could that be the Spirit? It is

generally accepted that when the body dies something leaves it.
This something is accepted as being the Spirit of the person. So
were we aware of the Spirit so long ago? It is my belief that we

were. We are aware of festivities that existed from those times
