Perhaps this is the way the system works! How then can there
be progress?
No two people can see the one object exactly
the same while they each view it from a different perspective. It
is impossible for more than one person to occupy the same
space at the same time. Each individual is unique, with a
unique point of view. A tall person views life from their height
whilst a short person views from a lower level. I could go on.
Everyone possesses their own uniqueness. Therefore, each
person is entitled to develop and understand their own unique
philosophy.
Existing philosophies are relevant as they can
be used as a basis for building a new understanding of old
ways. In science it is a regular occurrence for old rules to be
rejected as new discoveries are made. The new discovery could
not have happened had not the original theory been in place.
Why cannot philosophy be as dynamic and look to the future
for the truth of the present and not look to the present for the
truth of the past?
