Needs and Wants (2).

Friends it is with the wish to be of service to God that we
approach you this time. It would be impossible to impart that
which we have to give you were it not for the devotion to the task
that has been generated by those who have found the strength to
persist with an understanding of the subject under discussion,
namely where and why are we going the way we are going.

When last we spoke it was about prayer and it has been
noted that many have gained a better understanding of the way to
pray. Let it be said that a greater understanding has been
developed by you as we can now understand one and another
better and can therefore function as a closer unit in our work. So
this time we shall talk a little further on the matter of needs and
the association needs have with wants.

It is more common to have wants than needs, the reason
being that so often our needs are met automatically by those who
care for us. Greed is the overriding factor that rapidly develops
into craving and eventually emerges into the consciousness as a
"need". This "need" appears so great that it imposes a certain
dominance over us and by some extension can even dominate to
the extent that murder could be committed to achieve the end of
