This night we will talk on ignorance. It is ignorant to reject
the facility for gaining wisdom. To say, therefore, that most of
mankind is ignorant would not be too much of an exaggeration.
You might find this suggestion repugnant, yet in doing so you
prove the point we make. Surely it would have been wise to have
listened further so that you might understand better the
statement before you rejected it? Now you see the need for
compromise in this situation. Let us proceed, that you do reject so
much of that which is given leaves you in that state of ignorance
that leaves you so vulnerable to the denizens of the darker areas
of total existence. Your ignorance is such that you do not permit
yourself the opportunity to learn more of the life you lead, of the
true purpose of that life, of the true significance of the existence of
the facility for learning the answers that continuously upset the
thinking of mankind. We may appear harsh at times yet if you
were to allow yourself full facility of your intellect together with
the honest openness then all illumination would be received.

There are many lessons we receive from your
deliberations, many is the memory that is evoked for us. It is a
constant striving for understanding that keeps us searching for
ways that we may understand that which precedes us, and it is the
knowledge that we gain in this search that we impart to you. It
happens that we find from time to time a contradiction in our
thinking due to fresh enlightenment, and thus we have to revise
our thoughts and transmit these changes to you.

This situation causes you confusion but it need not. In the
science of research it is necessary that the openness we talked of
