Brief of the partnership between Egyptian Italian Company (EIC) and the

Whereas AMEsalt has previous industrial and marketing experience in the
salt field on the global level, especially in the American market, which is one
of the biggest global markets.
EIC seeks to be a pioneer in the field of salt industry on the global level
through a scientific and practical study.
The shareholders have great experience in the field of salt since 2000, along

with possessions like having Al-Ajra (Al-Safa) saltern producing 700K tonnes
of raw salt per year, as well as Siwa saltern which production is not less than
500K tonnes per year. The shareholders are now about to accomplish the
largest saltern in Egypt and the Middle East; as its production capacity could
reach 1.4 mn tonnes per year as a beginning in 2022. This is the Red Sea
saltern “Al-Zaafarana”, where the place has bright sun all over the year, as
well as extreme heat. This is also the only place in Egypt that has continuous
wind all over the year, which in turn helps produce salt quickly at the highest
global quality standards. Moreover, both wind and extreme heat make the

washed salt have not less than %99 of sodium chloride and %1 of humidity
before entering the refining station, and its degree of purity reaches %99.7
after getting out of the refining station. So the product is distinguished by
standard specifications.
That is why establishing the largest salt refining station in Egypt and the
Middle East is pending with a production capacity of 1.4 mn tonnes as an initial
phase.
A plot of land in Al Ain Al Sokhna, on an area of approximately 50K meters,
has been received.
