Met NASOM Puan Feilina & Encik Razin to tie up with DAGA and NASOM to forge partner-
ship in reaching out to more NASOM & NON-NASOM centres throughout Malaysia via GG2.
NASOM have submitted paper to Government to form National Autism Council & expressed

interest to jointly collaborate with Rotary as NASOM/ROTARY initiative.

22-23 June
DAGA supported GG2 autism project and worked closely with organising committee in
designing buntings, banners, certificates, t-shirts, posting on DAGA FB etc.
The 1 official launch of Part 1 workshop in KL on *Early Intervention Training of Teachers &

Professionals for Children with Autism* was done by District Governor Dr. Baskaran Gobala
Krishnan with Autism June 22, 2019 @ 8.30am Hotel Amara Subang.

A total of 69 participants successfully completed the 2-days training which was conducted
by our 5 Lead trainers. Overwhelming support by Rotary Clubs, International Partners from
Singapore & Bangladesh, reps from Welfare Department, Ministry of Education & Ministry of
Health, NASOM and of course DAGA team.

6-7 July
The 2 official launch of Part 1 workshop in Ipoh was done by YB Dr. Lee Boon Chye –

Deputy Minister of Health and the 2-days workshop was hosted by RC Ipoh at MH Hotel.
Closing ceremony was done by YB Encik Sivanesan A/L Achalingam – Chairman on
Health, Consumer Affairs, Civil Society, National Integration and Human Resources. A total
of 61 participants successfully completed the 2-days workshop in Ipoh.
