Daddy was christened Edgar Watterson
Branyon in 1890, and was the oldest of three siblings: Mattie Ruth, Sallie Eva and Jeptha Serephthka. All became teachers. When you add it all up, they taught for 184 years, or an average of 46 years each. Sisters Sallie and Mattie Ruth never married and lived together almost all of their lives.
