Year 5 (U10) Rugby
This is a more intensive club with greater emphasis on running, evading, passing before and during contact, contact skills and the pleasure of taking part. A weekly focus of activities encourages participation and builds confidence. The small-sided games increase participation and provide an opportunity for all to put into practice the skills practised.
Year 6 (U11) Rugby
This club runs over both the Michaelmas and Lent terms. It provides boys with a clear focus and allows skills to be learnt in a competitive environment. The school fields up to five teams and whilst the club complements games lessons, skills and techniques are reinforced in small clinics and team practices. Individual and team skills are developed so that progress can be noticed. This is built upon in the Lent term when the new game of 7s is introduced to an invited group.
Swimming
Swimming is a life skill. At Warwick we take this and develop the skill so that confidence grows. Competition encourages boys to develop and boys can be considered for Junior Galas. Diving practice off the blocks and race starts will also be practised in preparation for more competitive races in galas. We operate an invitational club along with a training club. Year 3 boys will be considered for the invitational club as the year progresses.
Tennis
This is an open club for boys who play regularly out of school to have the opportunity to play competitively against each other in a relaxed atmosphere. Boys are expected to rally fairly confidently although the ability to be able to serve is not vital. Boys are also expected to have
