Hockey
Stick control, speed of decision making and building upon the team principles learnt elsewhere, are central to developing this fast and exciting game. Skills are taught in small-sided games in a fun way leading to full inter-school competitive matches. The boys improve both fitness and strength and this activity helps prepare boys for the more rigorous game in the Senior School.
Kung Fu
The very nature of this club is to teach discipline. Defensive and attacking strategies are taught in an ancient language which the boys are expected to learn. Grading is undertaken and many boys follow the activity outside of school, some continue through into the Senior School. Boys have learnt how to defend when faced with a weapon and demonstrations involving incredible reaction speed have been given in the club and to the school. In recent times, boys have continued to achieve black belts. A beginner and an advanced club is run throughout the year.
Kung Fu Combat
This club allows boys who are serious about the sport an opportunity to learn a new dimension of skills through sparring in a controlled setting. Self-discipline and respect form a central focus. Challenging but rewarding and enjoyable.
Rounders
Developed over time from an ancient striking game to the fun filled laughter of today. A game to help develop hand-eye coordination and maintain healthy competition.
