Year 4 (U9) Football
This club is run with the intention of improving the skill, physicality and knowledge of the game for all participants. It is an open club that has little or no bearing on team selection but purely for the enjoyment of playing football. The club will help build boys’ skills in dribbling with the ball, control of the ball, possession of the ball as well as game awareness and understanding of basic tactics. Boys will normally begin the session with drills and skills workshops, which build in difficulty week by week, and at the end of most weeks these skills are used in some sort of match based scenario, either mini-matches or full 7/8 a-side games.
Year 5 (U10) Football
This club is run with two intentions: firstly, as a fun after-school club for boys who want to play football and secondly as an opportunity for boys who are representing the school at football, to have the chance to train and work together to improve the side. Each week will begin with a focused workshop to build on areas of strength
