Bespoke work—The spine
The story:
She was involved in a car accident a few years ago. Her spine was badly injured and
the recovery was slow and painful.
My inspiration was a spinal cord MRI and her huge excitement of the prospect of
creating this into a pendant on a body chain! Quite a challenging project!
The result?
A piece of jewellery attached to a body chain; comprised of one spinal cord, ten spinal
nerve roots, six discs and five vertebrae prove what someone once stated that the
“human body is the best work of art”.
“My greatest appreciation and gratitude to Myiam is that she dares to demonstrate that
“an original is always worth more than a copy”.
