11. To begin fueling, lift the handle on the
dispenser for the hose you are using.
Stand away from area between the
nozzle/receptacle and dispenser during
fueling.
12. While fueling the vehicle you may hear gas flow slow down, stop and then restart.
This is normal. As gas flow slows you may also hear a whining sound from the nozzle. This is also
normal, indicating that the vehicle is almost full.
13. When fueling from a dispenser that displays GGE and the
display indicates the fill is at 100% and gas flow has stopped,
the vehicle is full. Push handle on dispenser, for the hose you
are using, to the off position.

A scent or audible “hiss” that lingers is not considered normal and should be reported to
fueling station maintenance
