RESOLUTION 2018-02

RESOLUTION BY THE FINANCE AND BUDGETARY COMMITTEE AUTHORIZING A
SALARY INCREASE FOR THE VILLAGE PRESIDENT

WHEREAS, Section 1.06 of the code of Ordinances states “The salaries of all
elected and appointed officials, including members of boards and commissions, shall be
as determined by the Village Board from time-to-time, provided the salary of the
President and members of the Board shall not be increased or decreased during their
terms of offices.”

WHEREAS, the workload for the Village President has increased drastically in
the last year; and

WHEREAS the last increase the Village President received was in 2008.

NOW THEREFORE, the Village board of the Village of Sturtevant, Racine
County, Wisconsin does hereby resolve:

1. Effective April 16, 2019 the annual salary for the Village President shall be
set at $10,000.00.

2. Salary Payments shall continue to be paid on a monthly basis as has been
past practice.

Adopted by the Village Board of the Village of Sturtevant, Racine County,
Wisconsin, this 16th day of January, 2018.
