RESOLUTION BY THE PUBLIC WORKS & CAPITAL IMPROVEMENTS AND
STORMWATER & WASTEWATER COMMITTEE AUTHORIZING THE
ACCEPTANCE OF AN APPRAISAL FROM THE DEPARTMENT OF

TRANSPORTION FOR LAND OWNED BY THE VILLAGE OF STURTEVANT

WHEREAS, the Department of Transportation is planning for the future
construction of Willow Road and Durand Avenue; and

WHEREAS, the Wisconsin Department of Transportation needs to acquire
property for the future construction of Willow Road and Durand Avenue; and

WHEREAS, a 0.5 acre of the property that the Department of
Transportation needs to acquire is owned by the Village of Sturtevant; and

WHEREAS, the Wisconsin Department of Transportation has completed
an appraisal of the 0.5 acre land owned by the Village of Sturtevant; and

WHEREAS, the Village Board has reviewed the appraisal of the land; and

WHEREAS, the Village Board believes that $20,000 is a fair appraisal of
the 0.5 acre of property.

NOW THEREFORE, the Village Board of the Village of Sturtevant, Racine
County, Wisconsin does hereby resolve:

1. That the appraisal and offer by the Wisconsin Department of
Transportation in the amount of $20,000 is authorized and
approved.

2. The funds received from the transaction shall be placed in the
Capital Projects Fund (Fund 401).

3. That the Village President and the Village Clerk are authorized
to sign any agreements or other documents necessary to carry
out the intent of this resolution.

Adopted by the Village Board of the Village of Sturtevant, Racine
County, Wisconsin, this 16th day of January, 2018.
