 CHRISTINE SHANAHAN
PRINCIPAL
Ms. Shanahan is an accomplished interior designer with more than twenty years of professional design experience. As Principal at HVS Design, she oversees and manages the design team as well as creates exceptional designs for the firm’s hospitality projects. In addition to hospitality, Ms. Shanahan has extensive experience with commercial, industrial, health care, assisted living, and residential projects.
Before joining the HVS Design team, Ms. Shanahan was a Project Director for an international hospitality interior design firm. Here she managed architectural and interior design projects from concept, programming, and space planning through construction documents, bidding, and construction administration. She also founded her own successful full-service interior design firm, Studio East Design, which she built on her solid reputation and repeat clients.
Ms. Shanahan received her Masters of Interior Design from Suffolk University and her Bachelor of Science degrees from Bentley College and the Fashion Institute of Technology. She is NCIDQ, a member of the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID), and Network of Executive Women in Hospitality (NEWH).
ALLIE CORNEAL
CREATIVE DIRECTOR OF BRANDING
Ms. Corneal is a graphics and branding professional with an eye for style. With a background that blends marketing and studio art, she has a knack for organizing and communicating ideas visually. She has honed her design aesthetic in the hospitality industry with HVS Design and JN+A, where she is especially focused in concept design and branding for the firms’ projects.
Ms. Corneal conceives a design concept story, develops a project’s style and design language, and builds client presentations through to the schematic design phase. With her keen eye and attention to detail, designs remain consistent and in-line with the initial concept through to completion. Her experience in the Adobe Creative Suite and presentation software is an asset to the team.
Ms. Corneal received her Bachelor of Arts degree from The Catholic University of America in Washington, DC where she studied Studio Art and minored in Marketing. She supplemented her degree with a part-time Visual Design Course at General Assembly in Washington, DC.
