the classroom. Kristin genuinely cares for her students and wants them to be successful in any endeavor they wish to pursue. She loves spending time watching and cheering for her twins-- both swim competitively and are very active in their school community. Kristin is looking forward to spending more time with her husband, son, daughter, and parents (both retired teachers). She will be greatly missed by her students, families, and colleagues. We wish her many years of happiness, good health and quality family time!
Teresa Williams
Remedial Teacher, Student Services
Terri Williams began her career at the Montgomery County Intermediate Unit 271⁄2 years ago as a Project Associate in RISE [Research and Information Services for Education].
Working closely with PA Federal Programs,
Terri was instrumental in coordinating state-wide TITLE I and
other Federal Programs conferences. Serving as Secretary and
then President of the Executive Board of the Mid-Atlantic Reading Recovery Counsel, Terri collaborated with The Ohio State University in bringing the Reading Recovery Program to districts across the Commonwealth. Under the Link-2-Learn Program over two-hundred nonpublic schools in Montgomery County benefited from Terri’s coordination and purchase of over $1.2 million of technology equipment. She also served in an advisory capacity to the four other SW PA Intermediate Units in the development of technology purchasing plans.
Moving into Non-Public School Services, Terri wrote federal grants; managed TITLE II, IV and VI budgets and coordinated professional development trainings throughout the nonpublic schools in Montgomery County. Having been introduced to serving the nonpublic schools through professional development trainings for teachers, Terri refocused her skills to directly supporting students in the nonpublic schools as a remedial math teacher where for over the last twelve years she has served nearly 900 students in thirteen different nonpublic schools in Montgomery County.
