Social Worker, Student Services
Josie Reigner, LPC, HSV, is a valued member
of the OSS mental health services team. She
is a wonderful colleague who has always
been available and helpful to those in need.
Josie began working at the Montgomery
County Intermediate Unit in November 2001.
As a school social worker for the MCIU, she has had the opportunity to work in different programs including The Anderson School, Early Intervention, Hearing Support, Interagency and the SAIP Program. She was also given the opportunity to co-facilitate trainings in Trauma Informed Care, Risk Assessment, Threat Assessment, and Suicide and Mental Health Awareness and Prevention. Josie has led crisis response efforts throughout the county and she will be missed by all. “Thank you to the administration and my colleagues for
your guidance and assistance over the past 21 years. I am especially grateful for the friendships and support of the administration and staff at the Anderson School where I have spent much of my time over the years. I will miss working with the students and the families most of all.”
Kristin Verma
Vision Support Teacher, Student Services
Kristin Verma has been an integral member of the MCIU vision team for 21 years. A graduate of University of North Dakota, Kristin taught in a variety of places including Wisconsin, California, Texas and back to
PA (33 years in all!). One of our beloved
“Unicorns”, Kristin provided Vision AND O&M services to numerous students in Montgomery County. Kristin approaches challenges
in a calm and thoughtful manner. Her colleagues describe her as supportive, creative, and reliable. Kristin is always willing to lend a helping hand and assist her colleagues without hesitation. She brings her love of mindfulness into her practice, enriching her lessons with skills that will benefit her students both in and out of
