future with meaning. You just don't know when
it's going to happen.
Why can’t I just do this all online?
I suppose you could do an estate plan online.
However, what you would probably find are
lump sum distributions that don't coincide
with your values. For instance, if
entrepreneurship has been a really important
part of your life, you want to encourage
entrepreneurship with your children or your
grandchildren, they are likely not going to get
that guiding principle through a form that you
pick up off the internet. They are just going to
get money, without any sort of guidance. This
is the biggest gift you likely will give to your
children. Maybe you helped them, during your
lifetime, to buy their house, or buy a car, or pay
for their education. Those came with some
attached meaning. If education is important to
you, imagine this scenario. You’re helping a
child through college and he/she gets a C
average. What would we do if we were still
alive? Probably something like "we're not going
to raise you to be a trust fund child. You've got
