Amid increasing life expectancy, economic uncertainty, and evolving perceptions of retirement, older Indonesians are turning to entrepreneurship as a means of financial stability, personal fulfillment, and social engagement. This paper explores the motivations, challenges, and opportunities facing senior entrepreneurs in Indonesia, drawing from current literature, demographic data, and policy frameworks. It highlights key barriers such as age-related stigma and limited access to capital while also identifying drivers like life experience, social capital, and family support.
