I have always enjoyed taking photo’s ever since Lou got
his first camera as payment for setting up a train layout
for one of his Dad’s customers. I think I was as excited
as he was with the Bosley Jubilee camera.
Lou & I were high school sweethearts in Chicago where
we grew up. I have such a love for our dogs and other
animals. We enjoyed going to Zoos, whether it be in Chicago or California.
I have always loved taking photos of animals. We also have enjoyed going to
the beautiful botanical gardens, and taking photos of the many flowers there, in
all seasons.
We purchased our first home in 1962 in Morton Grove, Ill. We purchased a
refrigerator which came with 12 bare root rose plants. So from then on, we
always planted rose bushes at our various homes. Now, I am photographing
them in our garden here.
I have always enjoyed photographing my Family, especially our Children,
Grandchildren, and now we are blessed with 4 Great Grandchildren. One photo
that is on my dresser is of my little Granddaughter that I took in 1993 when she
was about a year old, now she is a Mother of 2 beautiful children. I so cherish
that photo.
I am now known as the Butterfly photographer. I have always loved to
watch them. The photos of my butterflies were taken in Chicago at the Peggy
Notebaert Nature Museum. I was so pleasantly surprised that I got the most
wonderful photos of the beautiful butterflies. I have them printed on metal and
they are displayed in our sunroom.
I am sharing the photo taken in 1993 of my granddaugh-
ter, and our roses from our garden. My wonderful fur
kids as puppies. And of course my favorite butterfly
photos. I really liked the photo taken in Sacramento on a
trip with our Shutterbugs and I have included my favorite
mural.
