What is on your “TBR” (To Be Read) list this month? So many great reads but some of the interesting ones are
those donated with “love” to our Retreat Library. Recently, two caught my eye. Written by Will Smith with the
help of Mark Manson, “Will” is the story of how one person mastered his own emotions, written in a way that
can help everyone else do the same. The other title was “Dawnlands” by popular author Philippa Gregory. The
Sunday Telegraph (London) says this is written by “A mesmerizing storyteller.”

February is the month for love. It is only right to mention a title sure to be enjoyed from the author of “Loving
Frank”. Nancy Horan returns with a historical novel about Abraham Lincoln’s ascendance from rumpled lawyer to U.S. president to the Great
Emancipator through the eyes of a young asylum-seeker who arrives in the Lincoln’s home of Springfield from Madeira, Portugal. The title is
“The House of Lincoln” and it takes readers on a journey through the historic changes that reshaped America that continue to reverberate to-
           day.
