We’ve gone from spring to summer in 30 days! Nevertheless, seasons are changing and so is the partial
leadership of your Retreat Library. It takes a group of dedicated individuals to maintain any book collec-
tion. Behind the scenes individuals spend hours processing, culling (what stays/what goes) and moving
bags of books to other donation centers. Debbie Ferris and Judi Peterson will co-chair the group of vol-
unteers that include Barbara Boyer, Julie Good, Darlene Johnson, Mary Templeton, Sherry Warner and
Sara Schlehofer. We want to thank Scott Fischer for all his time and effort over the years and bringing
this service back after the pandemic. We wish him well! This group exists because reading is beneficial
to all, and access is essential. We hope you will browse the shelves and find a book to enjoy (with no due date). A sign of a good
book is when it stays with the reader. Two titles that have left a mark and have older publication dates are “One Thousand White
Women” by Jim Fergus and “Oil and Marble” by Stephanie Storey. Both are historical fiction. One is set in the United States and
the other in Italy.

The Roseville Public Library is now open at 9:00am Monday-Thursday. Summer Reading begins June 1 and yes adults are encour-
aged to participate with amazing prizes. Show your readership and win. Starting in August, two series of programs will begin.
Check the website for more information on the local author series and the Roseville Police Department safety series. These are
meant to bring culture and helpful information to our community.

While Memorial Day has past, we recognize our brave military personnel. And extend a Happy Father’s Day to all! We remember
you and we celebrate you.
