Denise & Bob Caputo walked the dunes of White Sands NM. Great wave-
like dunes of gypsum sand have engulfed 275 square miles of desert, creating the
world's largest gypsum mound field.
They explored the caves of Carlsbad Caverns. Hidden beneath the surface are over
100 caves formed when sulfuric acid dissolved limestone leaving behind caverns
filled with dazzling formations of stalactites.
They also toured Spaceport America which is the world's first purpose-built com-
mercial spaceport. The site is built to accommodate both vertical and horizontal Rosie Lehto visited Santa Cruz with her family.
