Hi Neighbors
We’re off to a great school year with
the kids and teachers at Woodbridge
Elementary. Our PenPal program last
year was such a huge success we are
kicking it off again this year with two
new third grades and the special needs
class. It’s an easy and fun way to help
kids practice writing and to make
special friend connections. We will
provide the blank notecards and
envelopes plus we always add a
surprise like Make a Face stickers and the kids are so excited to get
their letters.
There are many ways to volunteer, either in a classroom, or simply
helping the teachers with projects from your home, like preparing
classroom materials or homework packets. Recently we met to cut
fabric squares they use as whiteboard erasers, organized reading
booklets, and cut ‘Woodchuck Bucks’ they use as good behavior
rewards to spend in their school store. Thank you to all our volunteers
