Cozy up with a good book while you sit by the fire at the Retreat or in your home. There are so many free books to
choose from in the Retreat Library. We hope you will select several over the holidays. I’m always surprised by how
many books I can read each year and yet I always hope for more. If you are looking for a website for reading recom-
mendations for mystery titles, check out Stop, You’re Killing Me! http://www.stopyourekillingme.com. Here you will
see new hardcover releases, and much more. You may subscribe and receive their newsletter or visit as often as you wish. And by-the-way, I
would like to announce, Roseville Public Library will be hosting a new book club called West Side Stories. This mystery/thriller book club will
meet the second Saturday of the month from 2:00-3:00pm at the Riley Library. Check the library webpage for more information.
What’s on my nightstand? “Honolulu” by Alan Brennert – I wanted to travel back in time to the 1920s and 1930, Honolulu. This author gives us
characters as vivid as the history of Hawaii itself. This is by no means a new release as it was published in 2009. I enjoyed going back in time
and to a remote tropical setting. My how things change! One thing that doesn’t change is a holiday greeting to all of you for a safe and fabulous
holiday to you and your families.
