Colwell Thundering Herd Mandarin Ranch (Off-Site)

2500 Penryn Rd, Penryn, Ca 95663 (approximately a 25 min drive)
Nancy and Rich Colwell, owners of the Thundering Herd Ranch
welcome us to their traditional, small family orchard. Their children,
who many years ago assisted with clearing the land and planting the
trees, now assist with the irrigation, hand picking, and hand packing of
the fruit.
We will start with a History presentation on the fruit industry in Placer
County. Followed by a private tasting of Olive Oils, vinegars, honey,
desserts, and more.
You are encouraged to bring a sack lunch to enjoy on the covered patio,
with a beautiful view of the Ranch, after the festivities.

Apple Hill Bus Trip
Wednesday, October 23rd at 9:15 a.m.
Apple Hill is situated just outside of Placerville and is an area bursting
with Wineries, Apple Orchards, Tree and Pumpkin Farms. We will visit
two locations (High Hill Ranch and Boa Vista Orchards) for eating
lunch, shopping, and buying goodies. The final stop will be enjoying
Historic Downtown Placerville.

Sound Healing for Emotional Transformation
Monday, October 28th from 2:30 p.m. – 3:45 p.m.
Sound healing can help with mental clarity, stress relief, and even
physical ailments. Research has shown it has the potential to relieve
muscle and bone pain, lower blood pressure, improve circulation, and
strengthen the immune system. Our instructor will be using her own
bowls and her current set are all tuned to 432hz, which is referred to as a
frequency of love, DNA repair, and cleansing of the chakras and the
auric fields. This class is not movement- based but rather a meditative
and introspective experience. Class time will be spent on the floor;
however, you may remain seated if you prefer. Wear comfortable
clothes, yoga mats provided and you are encouraged to bring a quilt or
