Close your eyes and picture for a moment a place and
time where America has completely stopped. Our
once bustling streets are now empty. The Starbucks
drive-through no longer has the standard ten-minute
line wrapped around it, and Chick-fil-A is no longer
packed Monday through Saturday. Picture a weird

parallel universe where the streets of Los Angeles have
no traffic and the only drama being reported about
the NCAA’s March Madness is that it was cancelled.
Visualize walking through the nearly always, twenty-
four-hour energetic and urgent Times Square
without running into a single person (other than the
occasional police officer who has been assigned to go
out patrolling to make sure that you are not violating
ever-changing protocol).
