TURTLE
La comida favorita de las tortugas son las medusas. Las bolsas de plástico parecen medusas cuando
flotan en los océanos. Si una tortuga ingiere una de estas bolsas puede sufrir una obstrucción en su
intestino, lo cual le provocará desnutrición, reducirá su crecimiento o incluso supondrá su muerte,
según datos recabados por ONU Medioambiente. Las tortugas pueden morir de hambre porque se
sienten llenas después de tragar desechos plásticos. La organización internacional estima que el 52
% de las tortugas marinas de todo el mundo han ingerido desechos plásticos.
Turtles favourite food is jellyfish. Plastic bags look like jellyfish when they are floating in the oceans.
If a turtle ingests one of these bags, it may suffer a blockage in its intestine, which will cause mal-
nutrition, reduce its growth or even lead to death, according to data compiled by UN Environment
Programme. Turtles can starve to death because they feel full after swallowing plastic debris. The
international organisation estimates that 52% of sea turtles worldwide have ingested plastic waste.
