In P1, we began helping Wizard Wangle
to save Wonderland! All of the characters
were in danger because children have
stopped reading fairy tales. Jack’s
beanstalk didn’t grow and the Fairy
Godmother’s wand lost its power! We
worked hard to read different fairy tales Atharva Das (P1)
each week and complete lots of learning
challenges to help to put some of the
magic back into Wonderland.

Our first story was Jack and the
Beanstalk – lots of the P1 children
planted their own magic beans at home
and made some amazing beanstalks
for Jack! We enjoyed learning some
songs and retelling the story using
finger puppets. At the end of the week,
we wrote letters to Wizard Wangle to
explain to him all of the hard work we
had been doing to help Jack and to save
Wonderland.
