for S3 in
British Biology
Challenge
Competition
Joe McDermott and Luc Steel were the
stand out Heriot’s pupils in the British
Biology Challenge Competition, with
both achieving Gold awards. More than
23,000 students from 367 schools
worldwide entered. Silver awards were
also attained by the following: Amelia
Fergusson, Leo Monaco, Euan Richards,
Amelia Cole (P7)
Samantha Ross (P7) Lucy Anderson, Janica Chan, Joseph

a five-minute video. In groups of three
to five, they studied then acted out or
animated a selection of French poems by
Paul Eluard, Maurice Carême and Jacques
Prévert. The pupils staged and filmed the
Clara Nash (Nursery) poems as they wished, in an original and
Nursery independent way. The poème mélangé is
made by selected verses from the three
