relives summer

The summer holidays may have
been an increasingly distant memory Annabelle Osborne (S5)
in September, but the Geography
Department’s ‘Wish you were here!’
competition gave pupils and staff chance
to reminisce about days of sunshine and
freedom.
It was clear that Heriot’s staff and pupils
are a well-travelled bunch, and the
judges – Mr Munro, Mrs Jamieson and
the Geography Department – found it
very hard to decide on the winners from
Morganne McQueen (S4)
numerous entries. Tomas Macdonald (S4)
and Sam Saddler (S6) were the winners
Mr Ewan Harrison
in the British Isles and World categories
respectively, while Miss Kirsty Hunt
triumphed in the Staff category. Their
photographs are pictured here, as well as
some other notable entries.
