P1 take flight in museum visit
P1 pupils ventured to the Museum of Flight and, amongst other transport
on display, were able to see a Concorde aeroplane. Some of the pupils’
highlights are below.
My favourite part was when we practised landing the plane with the
steering wheels. Roman Duncan (P1)
I liked the film about the Concorde. Sophie Holton (P1)
I liked going on the black and white plane because we could press
different buttons. Bridget Agorastos (P1)
Museum trip brings Egyptians to life
We went on a trip to the National all the things they had – amulets,
Museum of Scotland to learn about mummies, sarcophagus, even a
the Ancient Egyptians. When we got child sarcophagus! Later on, we got
there, it was beautiful – there were to touch real and replica Egyptian
all sorts of things! There was a clock artefacts like amulets, sandals and
full of creativity, a whale’s skull and toys (this was my favourite part of
even a mummy. We looked around the trip). I really enjoyed my trip to

P2 classes visited Dr Neil’s Garden.
It was great fun meeting Claudia and
she taught us lots about the plants,
minibeasts and animals in the garden.
We even got to touch insects and
reptiles. We used our senses throughout
the trip. We saw splodges of mud,
orange leaves, a newt, and a worm
race. We smelt rosemary, lemony leaves
and beautiful blue flowers. We touched
slimy worms, a soft leaf, slaters and a
wriggly worm. We heard birds tweeting
(a robin, magpie and blue tit) and felt
the wind beating in our faces. We tasted
our yummy snacks!
P5 thrive in outdoor adventure
P5 went on an exciting trip to
Lendrick Muir. It was so much
fun. We went night lining, crate
climbing, tried archery and even
made our own bonfire! The food
was so yummy and it was my
favourite trip. I really wish I could
do it all over again. It was great!
