Since day one I have always looked up to the
House Captains. Until now, however, I have never
realised how much of a responsibility it is. When I
found out I was the new House Captain, only then
did I realise I will be representing and leading my
fellow Raeburners to help win multiple house cups.
That being said, I will savour every moment I have
left as a Junior School pupil and Raeburn House
Captain.

I always thought joining a new school would be
hard.
There would be so much change and I would
have to make new friends. But when I joined
Heriot’s at the start of P7, it wasn’t hard and I
thoroughly enjoyed my first term. I remember the

When I heard the news that I had been elected
as a Lauriston House Captain – I just couldn’t
believe it. I had always looked up to the big

the opportunity to be one in future. Fast forward

I am extremely proud to say that I am a Lauriston Isla MacDonald Martin and Ceiba Colquhoun
House Captain! I started at Heriot’s this year,
but within the short amount of time I have been
here I feel very settled and have made lots of
new friends. Although I only started at Heriot’s
recently, every second I have spent here has been
incredible and each day is completely different.
Heriot’s is such an amazing community, a bit like
a huge family, and to have such an important
role is an honour. To be a House Captain means
so much to me, is a huge responsibility and is an
incredible honour.
