Youngest
pupils settle
into Nursery
routine
As the school’s youngest pupils, the Nursery
children settled into a busy routine of activities
and learning, as the images here illustrate. They
show pupils getting to know the various areas of
Nursery, including the library, workbench, and arts
and crafts table. Beyond the walls of the Nursery,
the boys and girls visited the neighbouring
Wildlife Garden, the ‘Loose Parts’ garden (which
houses a new mud kitchen) and, of course, the
play area that has been extended by covering
ground in chipped bark. Pupils have also enjoyed
alfresco snacks and story time in a bell tent, as
well as picking apples that were ultimately made
into apple and rosemary jelly. Finally, dedicated
colour days celebrated the colour groups of the
Nursery, with all pupils wearing a designated
colour for a specific day.
