FROM THE Former Pupil University Reps
Calling all higher education students. The Development Office is looking for
current students to act as representatives, helping new Herioters joining their
university.
DEVELOPMENT OFFICE We envisage that the University Reps will act as a welcoming face for new
Herioter students, helping to link them with other Herioters at the university,
helping them acclimatise to a new city and giving them the run-down of
campus life.
This will not be an onerous role, the primary responsibility being to help fellow
Herioters find their feet. This new project will be launching in 2022, so, if you will

Ambassador Zoom
The Development Office hosted a productive Zoom call for FP Ambassadors in
early June. The event was well attended with FPs across the years dialling in. It
was a fantastic way to connect with former pupils across the UK and overseas
to put plans in place regarding how the Development Team can boost the
alumni relations programme at Heriot’s.
The discussion touched on communication between Ambassadors and their
retrospective year groups, former pupil get-togethers at local pubs and
participating in group sporting socials, furthering the Development events
strategy, implementing engagement tactics.
The Development Office database is going through a period of transition
at present which may result in a minor delay of topics discussed coming
to fruition. Please do bear with us regarding this.
We are truly grateful to our Ambassadors for their help and support in
connecting with former pupils around the world. As ever, the Development
Team is here to support the FP network - do not hesitate to get in touch
with us.
If you would like to be a FP Ambassador for your year group and help play
a role in furthering the alumni relations programme, please email

In May we bid a fond farewell to Catherine Fong
who had been a valued member of the Development
Team for four and a half years. Catherine has taken
up the position of Database Manager at Edinburgh

will thrive.
