Wherever your travels take you this summer, I hope you are having a great time.

Like every club and restaurant, Bocaire continues to have problems hiring staff. We have increased the
hourly rates we pay and offer sign-on bonuses to attract staff. We have recently hired one new server, Ori,
and two server assistants, Giovani and Marlene. Marlene can also cover the card rooms when Alma is
away. This has enabled us to open our buffet dinners to more people.
Our themed buffet dinners have been extremely popular. In the 16 years that I have been at Bocaire, we
have never been this busy during the summer months.
We had planned to stay open this August for food service but unfortunately, with our current staff shortages,
we do not have enough waitstaff to cover when employees are out on vacation. We also have some urgent
maintenance in the kitchen that requires the kitchen to be completely closed for food service. So, the

clubhouse will be closed for food service from Sunday, August 1 thru Monday, August 16 . The clubhouse

will open for lunch on Tuesday, August 17 . Please note that breakfast will not be available during the
clubhouse closure.
During the closure, the card rooms will remain open but there will be no food or beverage service during this
time. There will also be no attendant present. You can bring in your own snacks and drinks but please tidy
up after yourselves. The card rooms will close on the days that the carpets and marble will be cleaned.
Those dates will be communicated when known. Valet service will be available from 11am to 4pm Monday
thru Saturday during the Clubhouse closure.

Fitness, Pool and Tennis remain open during the Clubhouse closure.

A reminder that the golf course will be closed from Monday, August 2 thru Tuesday, August 17 . We have
a good selection of reciprocal courses that you can play during that time. Please pick up a reciprocal
brochure from the Pro Shop.

So far this fiscal 12 homes have closed. We base our home sales numbers on our fiscal (April 1 thru March

31 ), but an interesting statistic is that for this calendar year we have already closed 25 homes.
