E. Prepositions + V-ing (prep + N, prep + V-ing)
A preposition usually has a noun or V-ing after it. The V-ing is the noun form of the verb.
When we use V-ing as a noun, we call it a gerund. (To is different because it often has the
simple verb after it. There are also some two-word verbs that must have a simple verb instead
of a gerund.)
I am thinking about buying a new car.
She is interested in studying chemistry.
We are going to stay here instead of flying to Europe.
You can improve your English by watching television.
