Annual Summit
The flagship event of the organization is the annual conference on marketing held every year since 2012.
The very 1st World Marketing Summit – WMS
2012, took place in Dhaka, Bangladesh on March 1, 2 & 3, 2012. WMS 2012 featured more than 4000 participants, about 60 international speakers and many high-ranked political figures; thus covering business, entrepreneurship, academia, public
sector, science and technology, health, media, communication, and environment. It was inaugurated by Honourable Prime Minister of Bangladesh Sheikh Hasina. The Minister of Foreign Affairs – Dr. Dipu Moni attended as special guest. Dr. Supachai Panitchpakdi, Secretary General of UNCTAD –
United Nations Conference on Trade & Development addressed WMS 2012 as well.
3rd World Marketing Summit – WMS 2014 happened in Tokyo, Japan on September 24 & 25, 2014. +2,500 participants witnessed the 1st ever-largest marketing event in Tokyo, Japan. Top 30 Marketing, Management and Business Gurus highlighted the slogan “Better World through Marketing” to promote social and economic development in the mature markets. WMS 2014 was inaugurated by Honourable Prime Minister of Japan Shinzo Abe and attended by Princess Takamado and Ex. Minister of METI, Japan.
2nd World Marketing Summit – WMS 2013 concluded successfully in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia from Sep
28 to 30, 2013. Over three days, more than 2,300 delegates representing 68 countries relished the outstanding speeches and thought leadership on how social purpose can and should be injected into business practice to allow businesses to make money while furthering a social cause.
4th World Marketing Summit - WMS 2015 will happen in Tokyo, Japan on Oct 13 & 14, 2015. The theme of this year’s Summit is “Winning Global Markets and Operating Responsibly in a Digitally Connected World.”
Research and Education at WMS
WMS emphasizes the need for research and higher education as drivers of innovation, business and leadership, ultimately, improving livelihood and intelligence by undertaking innovative projects and thereby addressing current and future challenges to poverty alleviation and discrimination. Poverty leads
to ultimate denial of human right and threat to world peace. The research at WMS is launching ‘Kotler Business Program’ (KBP), an online business education program in collaboration with Kotler Impact Inc. and Pearson.
